A film-illustration for Irina Mironova's book “Life by the Rules of Filmmaking” is available on the website.
The film was created in 2007 as an illustration for the first book of Irina Mironova, “Life by the Rules of Filmmaking”, issued by the publishing house Eksmo. So far, the film has only been presented once. The presentation took place at a press-show on the day of the première of the book in the cinema “Romanov Cinema” in April 2007. |

On the 30th of September, 2010, a public lecture given by Irina Mironova took place.
The lecture, delivered in the form of training, was based on the materials from the book “Kak Snyat' Domashneye Kino” [Making a Home Movie] which is currently on a pre-production stage. The audience found out how to shoot a home movie – a video of a cinematographic quality – with the help of modern digital devices ranging from HD cameras to mobile phones. One could find out how to create a video from 5 to 40 minutes long, without editing and post-production, using a single button “Rec / Stop”. |

The complete version of the film “A. B. Pugacheva. Skazki pro Lyubov'” [A. B. Pugacheva. Tales of Love], shot by Irina Mironova in 2003, can be viewed online now.
The film, which is half an hour long, consists of six music videos connected by one story line.

Irina Mironova: I gladly responded to Jasmin's request to shoot a new video for her song “Vinovata” [“I'm to blame”]. A couple of years ago we jointly released a video for the song “Dolce Vita”, which left me extremely dissatisfied. My impression of Jasmin in it was an impression of something not real, somewhat of a clockwork toy, a dummy. Such was the script chosen for the video. It placed the events in some kind of puppet world. Now I perceive the singer from a different viewpoint. As well as many others I involuntarily witnessed a difficult period in her life. It got its abundant and hardly upscale documentary visualization on TV. Behind this visualization I have not been able to discern the real Jasmin. Despite her steady professional aspiration she is a delicate creature, you know. So, in the new purely documentary video I craved for a delicate portrayal of an energetic professional singer and rejected typical disclosing manner of a documentary. There were several goes at the shooting. I shot, in other words, collected events of her real life. I also organized stage filming on the set which copied Jasmin's elegant and at the same time cosy flat, her home. The video will be cut in the form of kaleidoscopic images of her everyday life. It will show us real Jasmin with all the joy, difficulties and surprises of the trade she has chosen, the trade she entirely devotes herself to. |
